UPCOMING EVENTS

Check out what’s happening at CLC, where we walk with Christ to love and serve our church and neighbors!!

The first Sunday of Advent is on November 30th.  We encourage all our members to join us on Wednesday evenings during the Advent season for Advent suppers and worship. There will be 3 weeks of meals and worship services on the following Wednesdays; December 3, December 10 & December 17. As we get closer to each date a menu will be announced.

As we prepare as individuals and as a congregation for the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ we hope you will take this opportunity to spiritually prepare with your family and friends.  Please consider inviting a friend who may not have experienced a mid-week Advent worship service.  Supper will begin at 6pm, with service at 7pm

What screams Christmas fun more than a MEGA Progressive Dinner? Our entire congregation, young and old alike are invited to join us on Saturday, December 13 from 1pm-6pm as we caravan to MEGA Cavern to see their epic Christmas Lights Under Louisville. Afterwards, join us at church for a Christmas Around the World Progressive Dinner. Youth Members will create and serve the Main Entree portion of dinner. We are inviting members from different cultures to provide appetizers & desserts and share a bit about Christmas in their culture! Sign up to provide apps & desserts by contacting Liz Dawson at 502-541-2223 or by calling the church office. RSVP by December 3. THE MORE THE MERRIER!!!

Join us on Sunday, December 14 at 2pm as we continue with a beloved CLC tradition…Caroling at Forest Hills Commons Assisted Living! This tradition brings so much joy to the residents of Forest Hills Commons. Several of our members live there now and they love being a part of this afternoon of singing favorite Christmas carols.

We love Christmas! All youth members and their friends as well as all interested CLC Members are invited to join us for Christmas lights & rollercoasters as we head to Kentucky Kingdom on Saturday, December 20 from 5-9pm. Price / person will be announced soon, but if you are Kentucky Kingdom season pass holder you don’t need a ticket your pass will get you in.

We will meet at church for a quick and delicious dinner and then head down to the park. Don’t miss the lights, rides and ice slide races!! Dress warmly, as we will be outside for this event.

We hope you will join us in person or online at 7pm on Sunday, December 21st. Blue Christmas is a Western Christian tradition that happens on the longest darkness of the year, December 21st, also called the Winter Solstice. This is a contemplative service, offered especially for those hurting during this holiday season; those who lost their loved ones, including those who are suffering from illness, addiction, violence, loneliness, financial hardship, conflict, etc.

Christmas Eve Worship services will be at 5pm & 9pm on Wednesday, December 24. Both services will be candlelight services with holy communion. The 5pm service is family friendly. We hope you will bring your friends and family as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

On Sunday, December 28 there will be only one worship service at 11am. This service will be a service of Lessons and Carols. Please join us for this special holiday worship tradition.

Check out our Youth Page for upcoming events & ideas for the 2025-26 School Year.

Join us immediately following the 11am service for our  “My Cup Runneth Over” coffee fellowship hour.  Coffee and sweet treats will be provided.   Donations of treats to go with our coffee is always appreciated, as well as K-cups for this fellowship event. Click here to sign up to bring a treat or two to share.
