Pastor Elisa explains that the word Christmas is a verb.  We, like John, are called to recognize the light and bear witness to the light.  During the Christmas season we spread love to our friends and family.  We should “christmas”  all year long, in other words, spread that love ALL year long.  God calls us to be the Word Incarnate, by spreading love we are doing just that.
